As I first began to ponder the ascension, I was drawn to consider why things currently on Earth die and why it is possible to shift our mindset to create physical immortality on this planet. Those who are psychically aware of other dimensions know that the soul is immortal and lives on in a spiritual body after the physical body dies. Like me, many others have interacted with the spirits of the “deceased” several times.
I have a hard time believing that a benevolent creator would create death, war, hatred, greed, manipulation, destruction, or anything that fades away, dies, or perishes. Perishable things exist because they are part of the limitless possibilities available to us as co-creators. Yet, I also know that this universe is in a fallen state where darkness has wreaked havoc for eons.
Like a veil drawn over human consciousness in the proverbial Garden of Eden, we created the illusion of separation and it became part of 3-D Earth reality. This “fall from oneness” is also known as the curse in the Bible. Humans then began to experience death of the physical body, which prior to that time had been immortal. There is no mention of death until the first animal was slain to provide clothing for the humans, who began to see themselves as separate from or abandoned and punished by God. Thus, a picture of death was inserted on top of the picture of life that was already in the photo frame of the human experience. We see this picture of death every day, but the image of immortal life is still behind the scenes for anyone who is willing to look behind the veil.
Humans had not created anything prior to this time—they only enjoyed what God had created. Therefore, nothing was labeled as bad—it was all good. This curse, which affected the entire Earth: plants, animals, humans, etc. opened to humans a full range of possibilities in the Earth plane. Thanks to this “fall,” we became aware that we could use energy such as thoughts, intentions, and emotions to create, see, or experience anything we want. Having free will and feeling inferior to God, humans chose to create from a limiting mindset. Because our thoughts, beliefs, feelings, attitudes, and words are the materials used to manifest or create our reality, we brought death upon our planet.
The Bible is not silent concerning immortality and enhanced longevity. We read about many people who lived longer than we now do—even with our current medical knowledge and technological intervention in near-death crises. Genesis 5:8 states, “And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.” While this sounds impossible, it’s not that far-fetched. The body has the ability to constantly reproduce perfect cells and keep the body in perfect health. Some people mentioned in the Bible did not die at all. Elijah was whisked away in a chariot of fire, possibly a UFO or his light body (2 Kings 2:11 and Ezekiel 1:4-26).
The soul is already immortal. The body can be. Death is eternal life without your body. Ascension is eternal life with your physical body. If you are attempting to ascend you must realize that your body is going with you into the higher realms (sometimes called the afterlife). In order to do this, the body must vibrate at a faster rate, lose density, and become spirit matter.
Master Saint Germain gave this message in Unveiled Mysteries (authored by Godfré Ray King):
“Eternal Youth is the Flame of God abiding in the body of man—the Father’s Gift of Himself to His Creation. Youth and beauty of both mind and body can only be kept permanently by those individuals who are strong enough to shut out discord, and whoever does that can and will express Perfection and maintain it.”
So much for all those anti-aging creams! The fountain of youth is not in a jar or tube; it’s contained in our thoughts and feelings! As we rack up Earth years, we accumulate detrimental energy when we do not diligently guard our hearts (feelings/emotions). We must refuse to entertain thoughts or feelings of judgment, fear, worry, or anything unlike love.
During a physical lifetime, a human being that attains the state of immortality is called an ascended master. He or she has mastered or overcome the cycle of death and rebirth (reincarnation) by perfecting themselves through spiritual purification practices, which removed all their karma. Below, I will mention some who have achieved immortality:
- In Buddhist history quite a few masters have achieved this, and the master who is most well-known for this achievement is Guru Rinpoche, who is still living today.
- Enoch walked with God and was no more (Genesis 5:24)
- Mahavatar Babaji and other Indian sadhus have appeared in various bodies long after the time that most humans give up their physical bodies and embrace death. My friend, Sondra Ray, has met a woman who is more than 400 years old.
- In Ascension Connecting with the Immortal Masters and Beings of Light, Susan Shumsky mentions characters in the Bible who have ascended, and she names at least two dozen from cultures such as Native American, African, Eastern Indian, and Chinese.
- In the US, Annalee Skarin has disappeared in one location and reappeared in another many times in front of various audiences.
Then, why do we still have bodily death and see other living things die? Because we have not realized that we have other options such as shifting into a light body. We have not grasped the fact that dying is a choice. We commit suicide on a daily basis through the choices we make and the thoughts we hold as truth. The belief that death is inevitable is a huge collective thought form that I compare to a snowball rolling downhill, gathering more material as it descends. If only a few who read this book will start challenging their own beliefs (we can’t change others—we can only influence them), we can start leveling the ground so the snowball slows down. Then, as more people start embracing their immortality, we will see the snow ball as the fluffy stuff or illusion that it really is. It’s time to remember and practice empowered options.
Why Did Jesus Die?
The question came up during my research for this book: Why did Jesus die? Certainly he knew that immortality is an option. There is some speculation as to whether or not his body actually died. He is reported to have been adept at suspended animation—the slowing of breath, heartbeat, and involuntary functions that cause the eyes to be distant and fixed and the entire body to become cold and stiff as if dead. It appears that the body is dead; however, the body does not decay while awaiting the return to life. This is done by fully mastering the mind, emotions, and body. Nevertheless, let’s say that Jesus did die. What would be the purpose? This great teacher demonstrated that death in our physical body can be overcome. According to the scriptures, Jesus died for (because of, or as a result of) our sins (the fear-based belief in separation from God-Goddess). He set a powerful example of non-violence, non-resistance, and how to respond whenever we feel attacked.
Jesus said that the last thing to be conquered is death. Since the soul already had eternal life when Jesus came to Earth 2,000 years ago, the death to be conquered is regarding that of the physical body. The first thing to be conquered is our mind! The mind and emotions produce results in the body. If physical death came as a result of man’s thoughts (that the body should deteriorate) then, the resurrection of the dead (immortality) can be achieved by a change in our collective beliefs. For whatever we think about, we bring about. The mind can create sustained health and life to the body because the body follows the deepest beliefs we hold in our minds.
If we want to change the death “urge,” we will collectively have to start believing in immortality of the body and stop unconsciously committing slow suicide with our thoughts. The wide-spread experience of immortality may or may not happen in this current generation and it may not occur for everyone—again, choice and free will are honored—but we have to start somewhere. We can begin by deciding to dearly love and care for our body, and consciously use our mind and emotions to strengthen the life urge and put away all thoughts that keep the death urge intact. The answer is to stop believing in separation and live as Jesus did—as one with God. The spiritual purification we practice will not be in vain. It will produce results and a shift in the collective consciousness of humanity.
