Most of us find it easier to maintain our energy field when no one is influencing us, but it is important to be able to access that flow when life is happening right in front of us. Here is an exercise to help you get into your body anytime you are feeling anxious or fearful. Try this type of meditation for a few days and notice what changes.
Find a private space that is your go-to spot where you are not likely to be interrupted by others. You may have multiple places where you go to be alone. Set your intention to simply have an experience without attaching to outcomes. The idea is to be fully aware of and present with all your sensory abilities.
Keep your eyes open and do one Reset Breath©. Engage with your body and your senses. Do you feel any difference after one breath?
With awareness and attention, gently place your left palm on your chest and find the spot where the energy is strongest. What do you notice about this “sweet spot”?
Now, place your right palm on your lower abdomen. Do you feel hot or cold? Do any emotions arise? What thoughts are brought up? Have a sense of curiosity without judging what comes up. Just tap in and feel. [Read more…]
