I was sitting on my back porch in my red swing as I do most mornings enjoying a cup of coffee. It was early on a Monday. Looking at the deck boards under my feet, I was reminded that I was going to seal them–someday. I definitely wanted to get that done before winter, but it didn’t have to be done today, I mused.
I didn’t really want to leave my cozy porch and go out into the mask-faced world, but I felt a strong urge to go right then and get the sealer. Even if I didn’t get around to applying it that day, at least I would have it on hand. There was probably another reason I needed to go to Lowe’s then and not wait.
While driving, my ego was rising up like a child whining about how this trip could wait until another day. I pulled into a parking spot near the garden center. I might as well get food for my perennials while I’m here. [Read more…]
