Walk-ins come from a different reality. The walk-in soul is keenly focused on the work it has come to do on Earth. Living authentically is very important to us; therefore, the masks and walls many humans live behind simply do not serve the goals of your walk-in soul. Part of the work that allows you to begin your mission requires letting go of anything that is not serving your authentic self. A friend that I had known since my church days in Indiana contacted me on Facebook. We had not been in touch for years. I had changed a lot since the last time we had seen one another, but there was also something different about M. and her vibration. She was happy and excited even though she had just ended a meaningful relationship a few months prior. Then she told me her walk-in story.
M. was asleep in bed when she began to feel an intense presence walk into the room and move toward her. She looked over her shoulder to see if someone was there, but she saw no one. The next thing she knew she was pinned down and could not move or speak. Her initial reaction was fear, and she remembered the King James Bible stating that people were “sore afraid” when visited angels. She assumed this was an angel, and while she wasn’t exactly panicking, she did feel uneasy that she could smother while unable to lift her head from the pillow. She surrendered to whatever was happening and trusted that if she did die, her soul would be fine. Once she was able to move, she felt strangely different.
During my walk-in in 1999 I was pinned to the floor in a similar manner as M. I’ve also heard of this happening to others. Many people see a spirit being right before soul transfer occurs.
A few days later, M. noticed that her intuition was keener. She started seeing people in visions before seeing them in person soon after. She now hears her internal guidance very clearly, and synchronicities have become a daily experience. She also acquired an urge to start connecting with the local spiritual community.
M. had never heard of a walk-in, but when I told her about my experience, it resonated with her. She had a strong sensation that a soul shift or walk-in had occurred for her. Having that information brought peace because it helped her know that she wasn’t crazy since many people are having strange experiences like hers. M. says she feels more alive, whole, and hopeful than ever in her life.
Sleep Patterns Change (Insomnia)
This transitional time can be emotionally, mentally, and physically intense. You may find that you have restlessness, sleeplessness, and more dreams; or you may dream more vividly and remember your dreams. When you are processing a lot of emotions, the body may need time to recover.
You may sleep more or fewer hours than usual. I’ve noticed that my sleep patterns have changed. Some nights I sleep for ten hours without waking once. Other nights I may sleep for three hours and then lie awake for hours. I have started my day at 4:30 a.m. because my body felt rested and refused to sleep. Strangely, I feel great the days following these sleepless nights.
Don’t be surprised if you need to take naps or sleep at different times of the day. I encourage you to take it easy on yourself and pay attention to your physical needs.
Vision and Perception
Your eyesight may have changed and now you see colors you’ve never seen before. Your internal vision reveals images of things that are about to happen.
Your physical vision may be hazy or out of focus, causing you to think you need a new vision prescription. I swapped and altered between four pairs of glasses after my 2013 walk-in. Some days I could see with the new prescription; other days I could see better with the old one. Some days nothing worked and I just had to let me eyes rest and do whatever shifting they needed to.
As you begin to have multidimensional sight, you may see objects that other people do not see, such as sparkles of light, shadows, orbs or balls of energy, grids of light, or movement from corner of your eyes. Objects may seem to shimmer, move, or fade. In the Bible, Paul was blinded on the Road to Damascus as a result of seeing Jesus in His light body. Our human eyes need to shift in order to see into brighter realms.
Do you find that you are no longer afraid of trying new ventures? Your perception of life is shifting and you may see a situation differently as if with new eyes, or your whole attitude toward something you once held as invincible truth has changed. Instead of judging others, you feel compassionate toward them, viewing them and their situation more kindly. Things that used to bother you just don’t seem to matter as much.
Perhaps you feel younger or more childlike, or your friends say you look younger. When enough of the old, fear-based patterning is removed from your cells, you will look and feel younger. I enjoy playing on the floor with my grandkids, many times feeling and interacting as if I am their age. My body may be sore the next day, but my soul knows no age! I’m sure my body will catch up soon.

Curious human minds want to know everything about what happened and why. They ask questions, do research, take advice from others, and go into panic mode about clearing all the imprints of the former soul. That is a distracting focus that can actually make it more difficult for a starseed to adjust to Earth life.
If you want to be about your new mission faster and be in good emotional and mental health, your attention needs to be on helping your body acclimate to the high-frequency energy that it is now interfacing with. It is important to help the walk-in soul seat well in the body and have all the connector points secured. This requires a lot of tender loving care and patience.
Like losing a best friend, the body may grieve for its former occupant. It may even try to reject the new soul because it is so uncomfortable with the new “resident.” Be gentle with your body. Be kind to the curious inner child. Unresolved issues hidden in the recesses of the unconscious mind or pain body may start to make their presence known. Pent-up emotional energy comes up to be healed in the presence of light.
I have coached many walk-ins who do not want to be here. Some feel that the walk-in was a mistake. It is important to help the soul integrate with the body and accept responsibility for whatever situation it is dealing with in each moment. This is best done by offering love and kindness to the body and the inner child that may be exhibiting a lot of fear over what is transpiring.
You may have questions that will never be answered about what happened. Let go of the need to know in your head and start listening to your intuition–the voice of your heart. Loving yourself is more important than ever right now.
After the exchange has occurred, it is important to continue to maintain a safe place for the soul to experience the energy of higher dimensions. Often the soul is still in the presence of multidimensional beings in a higher field as it acclimates to Earth life. In the earlier stages, a walk-in may have recognition of other-worldly beings or nature spirits such as elementals, depending upon the resonation of the incoming soul during that phase of integration. All seems to become unified and the new soul begins to function in the physical world as integration continues.
It is common for the body’s need for rest to change after a walk-in. Some nights will be highly activated with so much light and energy that you may be unable to sleep. Other times, you may sleep for twelve to fourteen hours straight. The need for extra sleep may last for days, weeks, or several months. So, give your body the time it needs to fully adjust. Eat to “fuel the situation” and forget whatever the latest diet or eating trend might be. Enjoy being outdoors, and let nature support you in the integration process.
Getting together with other walk-ins and/or highly-evolving beings can be beneficial to help hold the field of energy steady. The new soul may go through the “Am I going crazy?” or “What is happening to me?” stage and need to share what is occurring. Continue cleansing the vehicle (physical body) and raising the vibration by using products that support the higher electrical current. These include living or raw foods, organic fruits and vegetables, non-fluoridated water, unrefined, non-GMO, and non-chemically treated foods, etc. Breathing techniques, yoga, stretching, meditations, and adequate rest are also useful to help the body shift and match frequencies along the way. Listen to the body. Partner with it, do not give in to the restless ego that wants to go, go, go, do, do, do. Just be still and let the energy of love flood over you.
Much like shifting gears on a car, coming to a neutral point is very much a part of the integration process. The soul needs permission to do nothing more than follow the guidance as it comes in. We do not have to know everything that is transpiring; we do not have to be in control; there is no need to focus on the work of the new soul until everything is integrated and functioning. Sometimes a soul wants to hit the ground running toward its mission. Until the integration process is complete, it is best to simply focus on stabilizing and caring for the body that may have gone through some trauma prior to or as a result of the walk-in. Before making any big decisions, assess what the body and emotions are ready to handle, and then determine the appropriate way to proceed. We do not have to know or control everything that is transpiring. Keep life simple and acquire only what is truly necessary in each moment.
