When I moved here last November, I noticed there was a tree in my backyard. It had no leaves at the time and my family and I thought it was an apple tree. As it started putting on fruit earlier this summer I noticed that the “apples” were shaped more like pears. About a month ago, it became evident that this tree, planted by the former owners, is indeed a pear tree. What a blessing!
The small tree was fully loaded with the kind of pears good for eating rather than preserving. The tree not only provided tasty fruit for me, it provided me with the pleasure of giving pears to my neighbors, my daughter, daughter-in-law, and my ex-husband.
I am thankful for all the ways the Universe blesses me. Not only in providing for my needs but going above and beyond whatever I ask or hope for. “Trust in the Lord and all these things will be added unto you” is a reality.
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” ~ Luke 6:38
