“Nurturing the Empathic Child” is a day camp for children K-5 through 4th grade, facilitated by Tiffany Holt and Yvonne Perry. Intuitive, sensitive, and special needs children are invited to participate in this program near Ashland City, Tennessee.
This “hands-on” classroom is a 3-day workshop (Monday through Wednesday) designed for understanding the imaginative child and enhancing his or her self-esteem. Here are some of the ways we will support the child’s spiritual nature.
- Arts and crafts to enhance the child’s creative abilities
- Spending time in nature, building play forts and gardening
- Music and dancing (we may have Faye Henry here playing gongs!)
- Teaching the child how to respond to energy overload in an empowering manner
- Group and one-on-one time with the children to allow their stories to be witnessed
- Yoga and meditation (connecting with body and mind)
- Indoor play with Legos, puzzles, or other mind-stimulating activities
Monday July 10 through Wednesday July 12
8 AM to 5 PM (flexible drop-off and pick-up times)
Sweet Home Retreat (Cheatham County address will be given upon registration)
$150 per child for all three days
It would be beneficial for any child to spend a few days with Tiffany and Yvonne to enhance their confidence and abilities. We offer specialized understanding for children with autism, ADHD, empathic sensitivity, or keen spiritual awareness. Limiting this class to six children per day allows us to focus more intently on each child. Children may stay overnight with a parent or guardian if driving back and forth presents a hardship.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS
Tiffany Holt is a certified K-8 teacher and Master level Reiki teacher. She is a Special Educational Assistant at Kenrose Elementary in Brentwood, Tennessee. Holding space for a special child’s needs is hard to come by and absolutely necessary for development of self-esteem. Tiffany achieves good results as a positive influence who offers a different perspective and teaching style for children who do not fit the standardized mold.
Yvonne Perry is a former pre-school music teacher, a sound healing therapist, and the owner of Sweet Home Retreat Center. She is the author of many books, including The Sid Series ~ A Collection of Holistic Stories for Children, which was inspired by her grandson (now 16 years old) who was in touch with the spirit world at an early age. She loves gardening, singing, being in nature, playing with kids, and creating beauty and harmony in everything she touches.
