Have you considered going on retreat to process what is happening in your life? After the holiday rush is over and you feel ready to make change is a great time to give yourself time to reflect on what you want to create next. Going on a retreat requires taking time off from the pressures of life and setting the intention to heal and learn as you explore the innermost reaches of your soul.
About this time last year, I was emotionally and physically weary from all the stress I had experienced. I needed to get away and process my thoughts and feelings outside of my normal surroundings. I chose a combination of alone time and interaction with others who could listen as I processed. The 11 days I spent at a retreat center last January was life-changing. I came back refreshed and had new tools to deal with my situation.
A spiritual retreat is an intense period of time where serious soul searching takes place. Looking deep inside of yourself can be uncomfortable but very rewarding as you shed layers of programming that has kept you from realizing who you truly are. No matter what unique stage of development you are in, it is important to be patient with yourself as you process thoughts or issues that arise.
One of the reasons I chose to live on 6 acres in a house with four extra bedrooms is so I can offer personal and group retreats for people who are experiencing an awakening or going through a difficult time. Sweethome Retreat is a place in the country about 35 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee where people come to rest and relax, to contemplate life, or gain insight and clarity. There is a private chapel where you can meditate and process. Walking in the woods can help you connect with nature and feel more grounded. We have a private art studio for you to enjoy. And, if you desire, you can arrange to have a one-on-one coaching session with me while you are here.
Spending time in contemplation at a retreat will give you insight and understanding. Set up your personal retreat and make space to connect with what your soul needs most. Book a room through our AirBnB where you can settle into your private room and share meals with us at Sweethome Retreat. You can be alone to reflect and meditate, or be in the energy of my daily life as a celestial shaman.
