Perhaps your child speaks or writes in unknown languages. Perhaps he doesn’t speak at all. Maybe your child has gifts of healing or foretelling the future that cause concern for adults. Difficulty with focus or handling emotions? Whatever the reason, your child just doesn’t fit the mold or thrive in the public education system.
A special needs child is, of course, one who has disabilities in learning or mobility. Many have been diagnosed with ADHD or autism. These kids need to know that someone understands them on a deeper level. We welcome them and intuitively sensitive children to our day camp.
Holding space for a child’s emotional needs is absolutely necessary for the special needs or intuitive child. That’s why Tiffany Holt and Yvonne Perry are planning a day camp for children K-5 through 4th grade July 10-12, 2017.
Tiffany Holt is a certified K-8 teacher and Master level Reiki teacher. She is a Special Education Assistant at Kenrose Elementary in Brentwood, Tennessee. Tiffany is a positive influence who offers a different perspective and teaching style for children who struggle to fit in. Children prosper under her guidance because they feel comfortable sharing their inner world with her. Yvonne Perry is a former music teacher, sound healing therapist, holistic coach and playful grandmother. She is the author of The Sid Series ~ A Collection of Holistic Stories for Children.”
“Nurturing the Special Needs Child” will be at Sweet Home Retreat Center near Ashland City, Tennessee. This “hands-on” outdoor classroom is a 3-day workshop (Monday through Wednesday) designed for understanding the imaginative child and enhancing his or her self-esteem. Here are some of the ways we will support the child’s spiritual nature.
- Arts and crafts to enhance the child’s creative abilities
- Spending time in nature, building play forts and gardening
- Making music (we may have Faye Henry here with her gongs!)
- Teaching the child how to respond to emotions in an empowering manner
- Group and one-on-one time with the children to allow their stories to be witnessed
- Movement, yoga, meditation, and dance
- Indoor play with Legos, puzzles, or other mind-stimulating activities

“I Can Heal Water: A Star Child Speaks, Calls for Humanity to Wake Up” is an article that expresses how a 9-year-old girl uses her “star language” (also known as light language) to heal water. These children are the ones who are here to help change the world. Let’s support them in every way possible.
It would be beneficial for any child to spend a few days with Tiffany and Yvonne to enhance their confidence and abilities. We offer specialized understanding for children with autism, ADHD, or keen spiritual awareness. Limiting this class to six children per day allows us to focus more intently on each child. Register now before the spaces fill up!
