Have you ever noticed how much better you feel when you have taken a walk on the beach or through the woods? How about when you pet an animal? The gentle stroking of its fur, the contented sounds it makes are all comforting to us as well as to the animal. I have found that praise and gratitude are very helpful for lifting my mood and vibration.
As I was riding the train in Verde Canyon near Sedona, Arizona last month I was in awe of the majesty and beauty of my natural surroundings. I was feeling such an appreciation and connection with Mother Earth when my husband snapped this photo. I could feel the sun, the trees, and the mountains beaming their love right back to me!
As one who was raised in the church, worship has always been important to me. I stopped playing keyboard/piano and left my days as a worship leader behind for almost a decade. After my grandmother’s death in September 2015, I began to have an intense longing to return to playing and singing–and yes, even worship! But what would I sing if not church songs? I no longer believed the messages in many of them. Who would I worship now that I do not believe in a “He” God outside of myself?
Feeling the need to enter the gates of higher realms by having thanksgiving in my heart, I started re-writing the lyrics of some of the songs I had written years ago. They now fit my new understanding of Source energy and how connecting with something or someone who holds a beautiful vibration can lift the soul into a more positive frequency.
“I Praise the Breath of God” is one of the metaphysical praise and worship songs, and you may hear it by clicking the player below or purchase the download for 99 cents. I have recorded two other praise songs: “Holy Fire” and “I Am” if you would like to experience them as well. I expect there will be more forthcoming! So, keep a check on my spiritual audios page.
