You are a member of a team of lightworkers–perhaps a council. Some are in a human body and work with you as joint venture partners. Some are etheric (having no body or form); some are in non-human forms such as galactic beings. I connect with nature spirits, elementals, fairies, stones–all of creation in addition to listening to my own intuition.
Each soul or consciousness on your team is equally important. You just happen to be the one in human form with eyes, ear, and feet on the Earth. Your mission is a collaboration with your team mates. You can’t do your job fully without the help of those who walk with you in spirit. And, guess what? They can’t do their job without you!
You may have heard that the angels need permission to help you. Perhaps it is more likely that they need you to let them know what you need because they can’t see the whole picture of what is going on in your life.
Some clients tell me that they are waiting for their guidance to tell them what to do. I think a mutual exchange of information and instruction between us and our guides is necessary in order to be fully effective. Let’s face it, very few things just fall into our laps. It requires some effort on our part to manifest anything. For example, if you are praying for a job, but you do not create a resume or put in an application to any positions that interest you, it’s unlikely that someone is going to drive up your driveway, knock on your door, and offer you the perfect job.
Don’t get me wrong. I believe in miracles. Therefore, I believe it could happen, but getting what you want is not likely to come your way without your doing something to see it through. Sometimes the only effort you need to make is to create your “wish list” which details what you would like to see happen, and present it to your team in a meeting (I call it a ritual). Then wait in gratitude and faith that it will happen in perfect timing. I do send memos asking for updates in case there is something I need to do to assist my higher guidance.
Your guides are not sitting up there in the sky somewhere telling you what to do. You are not obligated to follow any instruction that goes against your better judgment. Many times your perspective or answer in a situation is needed before your spirit guides can take their next step. They are your etheric joint venture partners.
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. ~ Psalm 37:4
Source within us creates desires for what is best for us. Then Source fulfills those desires . . . if we don’t get in the way of our own best interest.
How many times have I argued with my guidance, knowing full well that they were right and that I would ultimately have to submit my stubbornness and follow their instructions? I resisted going into an office park 16 years ago where I found a church and met my husband. I had already told my guides that I was not going back to church. But I did–for a while. I had said I was not going to date or get married again. My guides laughed, which meant that I would either follow their guidance and be blessed or I would continue to balk and miss a wonderful opportunity for love and personal growth. It was my fear of being hurt again that was causing my resistance to the notion of opening to a romantic partner. I knew I would have to move past that in order to find the healing I was praying/begging for at the time.
I like exercising my free will and voicing my opinion to my higher guidance. Like in a board meeting at work, all the team members are allowed to offer a perspective that others might not have considered. Then a final vote in the best interest of all determines the direction the team will take. Here’s an example:
I heard my guides say to frame the light code drawings a friend from France sent me. I did not want to buy any more picture frames–I had given away at least 100 picture frames before I moved. The frames I had on hand did not fit these drawings. I went to Walmart today to get some other things not related to this. While I was in the store I was reminded again to frame those drawings. I again negotiated with my guides. Maybe you hear conversations like this in your head:
“I don’t want any more little picture frames hanging on my walls.”
I then heard, “We want you to use these codes and have them readily available.”
I replied, “How about I mount them on foam core board and put them with the other cards I have?”
“Yes, that will be fine as long as you can get to them easily while you’re working with clients and can see them often.”
Done and done. We each got what we wanted.
“We are not puppets being manipulated by some higher force. Because of our oneness with Source, we are our guides! Our most loving and awakened selves would not steer us in the wrong direction. We create our own detours and delays. Some people call those mistakes; I call them experiences. Following your guidance means listening to your intuition and knowing the difference between resisting and negotiating.” ~ Yvonne Perry, author of Light Language Emerging
